Hey Welcome to THE RANCH Saloon! What we're going to do is we're going to show you the basic two-step, hand positioning and foot work. Are you ready to go Sandy? Here we go. First of all the man just places his hand out, the woman places her right hand on top, her left hand is just below the shoulder and the man's right hand is just on the small of the woman's back. That hand is used for pushing and pulling and letting her know that it's time to go. So the basic two step is done at a quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, the woman starts off with her right, the man with her left. Are we ready to go? What we're going to do is we're going to dance in place and then we're going to go. Set. Quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow. So there you go, the basic two-step. What we're going to do is we're going to practice it again, this time we're going to go around twice. Are we ready to go? Here we go. Set. Quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow. So there you go, we gave you a little taste of what it looks like, two trips around. So now what we're going to do is were going to do it to music. Ready? Here we go.
[Country music starts] Set. Quick, quick, slow, slow [voice fades out, country music continues]. So there you go, that was the basic two-step to music. The next video you'll see will be a little taste of what you'll get when you come down to THE RANCH Saloon. See you on the dance floor!
In the last video, we showed you the basic two-step, in this video we're going to show you the basic two-step with a basic two-step turn. The positioning is exactly the same, so let's go ahead and show them, Sandy. Man's left hand, woman's right hand, her left hand on his right arm, and the man's right hand on her lower back. And basically what we're going to do is on the basic two-step turn with a quick, quick, slow, slow, the man is going to move his hand on the first slow. On the quick, quick, slow, slow, he moves it to here, and on the first quick she turns around with assistance of my right hand to get her around. So let's try that again. Quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow. So there you go that is the basic turn. So what we're going to do now is were going to show you as we go around on the floor, we're going to do it a couple of times. Are we ready to go? Here we go. Quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow, slow, quick, quick, slow.
