Prep Cook

THE RANCH Restaurant is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential to the daily success of our kitchen operations, supporting chefs by preparing high-quality ingredients and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, a passion for food, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-end dining environment.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare ingredients for service, including chopping vegetables, portioning proteins, preparing sauces, stocks, and dressings
• Follow recipes, prep lists, and instructions from chefs accurately and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, walk-ins, and storage areas
• Properly label, date, and store food according to health and safety standards
• Assist with receiving and rotating inventory (FIFO)
• Support line cooks and chefs during service as needed
• Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations
• Maintain consistent quality and presentation standards

Requirements:

• Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
• Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen equipment
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Ability to follow directions and recipes precisely
• Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Schedule & Availability:

• Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Flexible scheduling available based on business needs
